Chicago Archdiocese to pay $3.2 million to abuse victim

Now defrocked Catholic priest Daniel McCormack is seen leaving a Chicago court in this 2006 photo. The Archdiocese of Chicago recently agreed to pay $3.2 million to settle abuse claims against McCormack by one of his victims.

McCormack was arrested in January 2006 and charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual assault and subsequently pleaded guilty to charges involving five minor boys — including the victim who received the settlement.
